Iftar day 8 – 06/07/14 ~ Nasi Pilaf, Ayam Bali & Paceri Nenas

Huh..dah macam satu kewajipan, time bulan poser mesti aku akan masak these dishes. Paling sedikit pun sekali… So enjoy the photos..recipes copied from previous posts….

Nasi Pilaf

Ingredients :

  • 3½ cups basmathi rice
  • 4 cups of water (more if you like em softer)
  • 4 shallots – chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic – chopped
  • 3 inches ginger – pounded, add a little water and strain the juice
  • 20 gm butter + 2 tbsps oil
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 star anis
  • 1/4 cup susu cair & salt to taste

Method :

  1. Heat butter and oil, when hot pop in the cinnamon stick and star anis, stir a few minutes then saute the onion, garlic until caramelized (food network influence). Pour in the ginger juice, stir well.
  2. Pour the rice in, stir to coat evenly leave it alone for 2 minutes then pour the water and the rest of the ingredients. Leave to cook.

Ayam Bali Ms Hart with variation

  • 10 pcs ayam
  • 1 genggam cili kering blender dgn 1 bawang putih, 2 ulas bwg merah
  • 2 tbsps serbuk kari
  • 2 tbsps sos tiram
  • 4 tbsps kicap pekat
  • garam, gula
  • 1-2 cm lengkuas
  • sedikit daun kari
  • kentang & karot – optional

Method :  Perap ayam dengan bahan2 kisar dan yang lain kecuali lengkuas dan daun kari selama berapa lama yang boleh. Untuk masak, panas kan minyak, tumis lengkuas dan daun kari, kemudian masukkan ayam perap tadi masak sehingga ayam empuk dan kuah pekat. Tambah garam & gula…. Nyumm!
